A Passion for Craftsmanship
The definition of craftsmanship is a man who practices a craft with great skill and understanding. Jimmy Lambert shows his craftsmanship in every project he creates. A self taught woodworker, he has enjoyed building and creating for as long as he can remember.
Woodworking has always been a passion for Lambert. Building since he was a child, his father would tell him that he had “sawdust on his brain”. Lambert’s interest and understanding of woodworking shined when he took a carpentry class at Southern Alamance High School under the direction of Bill Coble. Lambert excelled in this department and won the state carpentry contest in 1981. Lambert went on to compete in the Nationals representing North Carolina.
Lambert has a wide range of skills and knowledge from 18th century to modern joinery and design. Lambert will tell you he likes a challenge and enjoys making something that is out of the ordinary. Every piece he makes is custom and built with a love of the trade.
Lambert has done work for local churches, businesses, Universities, and numerous homeowners. Lambert’s work can be seen all over North Carolina.
When he has time Lambert enjoys collecting antique woodworking tools, restoring antique hit and miss engines, fishing, and spending time with his wife Susan and daughter Melinda.
